These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Kwenta, a personal expense tracking application published by RLC Information Technology Solutions ("Operator," "we," "us").
By downloading or using Kwenta, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Consider having this document reviewed by qualified legal counsel before publication in app stores.
1. About Kwenta
Kwenta is a personal finance tool designed to help individuals track expenses, manage budgets, and understand their spending patterns. It is a fully offline, on-device application — no account registration is required or possible.
2. License to use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Kwenta on devices you own or control, strictly in accordance with these Terms and the applicable app store's terms.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute Kwenta or its source code
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Sell, sublicense, or rent access to the app
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
3. User data and responsibility
All data you enter into Kwenta — expenses, budgets, categories, and preferences — is stored exclusively on your device. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for maintaining backups of your data via the Export feature.
We are not liable for data loss caused by device failure, OS updates, app uninstallation, or any other reason. We strongly encourage regular exports using Settings → Export as JSON.
4. Free tier and Lifetime purchase
Kwenta is available as a free download with a limited feature set. Free users may log up to 50 expense entries. A one-time Lifetime in-app purchase is available that permanently unlocks unlimited expense entries, recurring payments, the AI finance assistant, and data export & import.
The Lifetime purchase is a non-consumable, one-time payment processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. It is non-refundable once delivered, except where required by applicable law or the app store's own refund policy. You may restore a previously purchased Lifetime license at any time at no charge using the "Restore Purchase" option within the app.
We reserve the right to adjust the features included in the free tier or the Lifetime tier in future updates. Existing Lifetime purchasers will retain access to all features available at the time of their purchase and all features added thereafter.
5. AI assistant
Kwenta includes an optional on-device finance assistant. All processing occurs entirely on your device — no data is sent to any external server or third-party AI service. The assistant reads only the expense, budget, and category data you have already entered into the app to answer your questions.
The assistant's responses are informational only and do not constitute professional financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. Always consult a qualified professional for significant financial decisions.
6. Financial disclaimer
Kwenta is a personal record-keeping tool. The calculations, summaries, and insights it displays (budgets, trends, averages, projections) are based solely on the data you input and are provided for personal reference only. They do not constitute financial advice, accounting services, or tax counsel. We make no guarantees about the accuracy of computed figures — always verify important financial decisions independently.
7. Intellectual property
Kwenta and all associated intellectual property — including but not limited to the app name, interface design, iconography, and code — are owned by RLC Information Technology Solutions. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
Kwenta is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of bugs. Your use of Kwenta is at your own risk.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RLC Information Technology Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use Kwenta, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. App store terms
Kwenta is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. In addition to these Terms, your use of the app is subject to the applicable app store's terms and conditions. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and app store terms, the app store terms govern solely with respect to matters within their scope.
11. Changes to these Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of Kwenta after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Work with qualified counsel if you require jurisdiction-specific wording for your target markets.
