This Privacy Policy applies to Kwenta ("Kwenta," "we," "us," "our"), a personal expense tracking application published by RLC Information Technology Solutions.
Kwenta is designed from the ground up to protect your financial privacy. All data you enter is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to any server. This policy describes our practices honestly and plainly.
1. Who we are

2. What data Kwenta stores — and where
2.1 All data stays on your device
Kwenta stores 100% of your data locally on your device using on-device storage (Hive database and device SharedPreferences). This includes:
- Expense entries (amount, note, category, date)
- Budget settings (monthly limit)
- Expense categories (names, icons, colors)
- Recurring payment records
- App preferences (currency, theme, name/username, streak data)
- AI assistant conversation history (stored locally via device preferences)
None of this data is ever sent to our servers, because we do not operate any servers that receive user data from Kwenta.
2.2 AI assistant
Kwenta includes an optional on-device finance assistant. All processing happens entirely on your device — your messages and financial data are never transmitted to any external server or AI service. The assistant answers questions by reading only the expense, budget, and category data already stored locally on your device. No internet connection is used and no third party is involved.
2.3 Data you export
Kwenta allows you to export your data as a JSON file using your device's native share sheet. Any data you export and share is your responsibility. We do not receive copies of exported files.
3. Data we do NOT collect
Kwenta does not collect:
- Account credentials (there are no accounts)
- Location data
- Device identifiers for tracking or advertising
- Analytics or crash telemetry (no third-party analytics SDKs)
- Advertising identifiers
- Financial account numbers or credentials
4. In-app purchases
Kwenta offers an optional one-time Lifetime purchase that unlocks all premium features. This purchase is processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store — we never receive, store, or process your payment card information or billing details. Your purchase status is recorded locally on your device using device storage (SharedPreferences) and is verified through the platform's native receipt/purchase APIs.
If you restore a previous purchase, the platform confirms eligibility directly with the app store. No personally identifiable payment data is shared with us at any point.
5. Third-party services
Kwenta does not integrate with advertising networks, social platforms, data brokers, or external AI services. There are no third-party data interactions within the app beyond the standard app store purchase flow described in Section 4.
The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Apple and Google may collect standard platform-level data per their own privacy policies (device diagnostics, crash reports, purchase history, etc.) independently of Kwenta.
6. Children's privacy
Kwenta is a financial management tool intended for users aged 13 and older (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children. Since all data is stored locally on your device and we have no server-side user data, this is a structural guarantee, not just a policy one.
7. Your rights and data control
Because your data never leaves your device, you have complete control over it:
- Access & export: Use Settings → Export as JSON anytime.
- Delete: Deleting the app removes all Kwenta data from your device permanently.
- Portability: Your exported JSON can be imported into a new device or kept as a personal backup.

8. Security
Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features (screen lock, biometric authentication, app sandboxing). We encourage you to keep your device OS up to date and use a strong lock screen passcode.
9. Changes to this policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will post the new version with an updated "Last updated" date. Significant changes that affect your rights will be communicated within the app where practical.
